2008 CPA Members’ Retreat
Robin V. Robinson
Imagine attending a gum bichromate demonstration by Brian Taylor, and the next hour sitting in a room hearing Huntington Witherill explain the art of getting your images together into an online book. Segue into a portfolio review with the instructor of your choice, and then lunch with your co-members. This is just a sample of what the participants of the 2008 CPA Members’ Retreat experienced last October at the Sunset Center in Carmel.

The format this year included 12 mini-workshops over two days, attended by two classrooms full of members. Participants could also sign up for portfolio reviews by the instructors. New this year, we were fortunate to offer scholarships for four local students, two from Monterey High School, and two from Monterey Peninsula College. Three of the students were CPA PhotoFocus youth alumni.
Thanks to our sponsors Brigitte and Bliss Carnochan and Don Anderson for providing scholarships to the event!

And a big Thank You to the generous instructors teaching the mini-workshops:
David Bayles and Ted Orland, Martha Casanave, Binh Danh, Sean Duggan, Mel Edelman, Sara Friedlander, RR Jones, Kate Jordahl, Tobin Keller, Tim Kelly, Brian Taylor, and Huntington Witherill.
See you again later this year!
